Charitable objects
The purpose of the Trust is to provide and
maintain a Parish Hall for the use or benefit of the inhabitants of
the Parish of St Ippolyts and their environs, without distinction of
political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings,
lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure
time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life
for the said inhabitants. To further this end by the procurement of
grants and donations, the organisation of fund raising events and by
the derivation of income from the users of the Hall.
Organisational structure
The charitable trust is constituted by a trust deed and is
administered in conformity with the provisions of the deed by the
Committee of Management who shall be the charity trustees.
Recruitment and appointment of management committee
The four individual
trustees are elected by members of the parish on an annual basis at
the Annual General Meeting
and a further two trustees can be co-opted.
St Ippolyts Parochial Church Council
and St
Ippolyts Parish Council appoint one representative each.
Review of activities and achievements
The Trust has continued to ensure that the hall has been
available for the use of local inhabitants. The local Brownies,
Rainbows, Beavers, Cubs and Youth Club have all used the hall for their
regular meetings as well as
children's dance and gymnastics groups. Other
organisations using the hall regularly include
a Dancing Club,
Dog Training Club, Ladies Bridge Club, Toddler Group, Singing Group, Table
Tennis Club and the Women's Institute.
In addition the hall has also been used for
birthday parties,
children's parties, wedding
receptions, post funeral gatherings and Lent lunches. The
church have held fund raising functions with other users including Probus and Rotary
Clubs.
Reserves
The trust reserves will be carried forward to fund ongoing
maintenance of the Parish Hall.
Investment powers, policy and performance
Funds not required as a balance for working purposes will be
invested as per the trust deed.
Staffing
A paid part-time caretaker and a cleaner are employed.
Meetings
The Hall Users meet with the Trustees on a regular basis and
together they hold an Annual Christmas Fair.
