Beaver Scouts 4th Hitchin (St Ippolyts)
Beaver Scouts is for boys and girls aged 6 to 8 years.

We offer a wide of activities including games, crafts, outdoor activities and visits.

Monday 5.15 p.m. to 6.15 p.m. Term time only.  £20 per term.

Aspire School of Dance                                    

Exciting school founded in August 2010. Classes offered in ISTD Imperial Ballet, Tap and Modern/Jazz and are suitable from 3 years of age upwards.  Children will be entered for regular exams and participate in the school show every two years. The school also performs at many community events such as Rhythms of the World, St Ippolyts Christmas Fair and the Children in Need Day of Dance each year.

Tuesdays 4 p.m. - 7.45 p.m. and Fridays 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. Termly fee.

Fabulous Theatre Club

Fab is a new performing arts club for children and young people aged 5 and over (split into 2 groups)  At Fab we believe that learning to perform in a theatre group is a fun way to gain confidence, learn to respect others, feel good about yourself and be creative.  We offer reasonably priced 1-2 hour sessions using games and challenging exercises to learn drama improvisation, mime, acting and performing skills, singing and voice development.  We also produce 2 shows per year one at Christmas and at the end of summer term, as well as offering Summer Holiday all day sessions.  We will get to know your child well and will set individual targets, getting all children performing from the word GO! 

Wednesdays from 3.30 - 5.30 p.m. (Seniors) and Thursdays 3.30 - 4.30 p.m. (Juniors)

North Herts Dog Training Club                                    

Dog training and socialisation for all ages and all breeds of dog from puppy to novice.  Regular gradings to assess the progress of the dog/handler. Kennel Club Good Citizen Test - from Puppy to Gold. Two dog shows per year all profits going to the charity of the year.

Tuesday 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Friday 7.15 - 10 p.m.

Singing Group

This is a happy and social group who enjoy singing together, unaccompanied and in harmony, lead by a professional singer with over 20 years' experience.  The repertoire is very varied and includes pop, rock, folk, jazz and world songs all learnt by ear - no music reading or audition necessary.   The primary objective is to relax and have fun, making beautiful sounds in the process! All adults welcome regardless of previous experience, just turn up and join in!

Every Thursday 8 p.m. - 10 p.m.  £5 per session. No membership - just pay on the day.

St Ippolyts and Gosmore Women's Institute

An educational, social, non-party political and non-sectarian organisation. Through its close community ties and wide-ranging activities, the WI plays a unique role in enabling women to turn their interests into achievements and their concerns into campaigns. Third Wednesday of each month (except August) at 7.45 p.m.                      Membership  £31.50 per annum.  Visitors £2.50 each meeting.

St Ippolyts Local History

Small Group formed in 1990. It aims to promote an understanding and respect for the civil parish and where possible display, publish items for present and future generations to enjoy. We carry out research into the history of the parish and record changes taking place today in the locality as part of the HALH's Recorder Scheme.  We enter community events when asked in The Comet 'Town and Around' section courtesy of the local paper. We also monitor planning applications.

St. Ippolyts Table Tennis Club

Four table tennis tables in use. Free hot and cold drinks.  Bring your own Table tennis bat and ball.  Plimsoles or indoor sports footwear only.  Standard of Play. From beginners up to North Herts First Division.  Age Range. No restrictions. Young and Old. Under 16 years olds must register name and address information with club representative on arrival. Under 13 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult 

Thursday evenings 8 pm. till 10 pm. (Just turn up no appointment needed) September till middle of May except for two weeks at Christmas.   Fees: Playing visitors (non members) £3 (pay on entry)  Club membership (not compulsory) £52 per season. (Paid at start of season) Junior (under 15 years) playing visitors £2 per evening (pay on entry)

St Ippolyts Youth Club

The club is run for young people from Yr 5 up to and including Yr 10 and provides a safe place to meet and socialise.  There is plenty to do including table tennis, pool, air hockey, badminton, volleyball, karaoke, dance mats, craft.  Playstation and board games or just chat to friends and chill out! There is a tuck shop plus some special events to look out for each term such as band night, pizza making, disco party, talent shows or rounders on the rec.

Wednesdays 7.00 p.m. - 8.30 p.m. (term time only)  Note: No meeting on the 3rd Wednesday in the month as the main hall is used by the WI.

Free to join.  50p per week entrance.

 
Tumbletots Stevenage Area

Tumbletots is Britain's leading activity play programme designed to help your child develop the vital physical skills and confidence needed for life. Week by week our sessions develop not only agility, balance, climbing and co-ordination skills but also essential listening and language skills in preparation for school and later life. The programme has classes at 5 levels: Gymbabes 6 months to walking. Tumbletots walking to 2, 2 to 3 and 3 to school age. Gymbobs school age to 7. St Ippolyts Baby and Toddler Group

Babies to 4 years.  Activities we set up for children to spread out and play safely includes ride on toys, an arts and crafts table, role play, climbing frame, trampoline and much more.  There is a separate area for babies.  Snacks and drink are provided for the children, tea and coffee for adults.

Bluebell Children's Centre

One stop shop for information and support for families with children under five years. The lead agency of Bluebell Children’s Centre is the Pre-school Learning Alliance and the centre provides a wide range of services across the community. For more information on the centre and our timetable of activities please contact us.

The centre helps to run the St Ippolyts Toddler Group on a Wednesday morning and provides a toy library service from the group.
